In Italy and RELAXING! My sabbatical leave has come to an end. The overall project, as stated in my sabbatical request, has been achieved yet the website will continue to be a work in progress. I plan to add more stories and lessons and hope that others who visit and use the site will share some of their own stories and lessons. My hope is that the website grows and can be utilized in school classrooms and outside of the classroom as well. I have provided a completion statement, indicating if my purpose for the sabbatical leave has been achieved, a reflection and how I will be using the project in collaboration with students, colleagues, and the community. Thank you OPRFHS for granting me this opportunity. Grazie mille!!
In a few days I will be in Italy and will RELAX. Have I mentioned that already? I may have mentioned that. I am planning on uploading more material on the site but may do it through out the next coming school year. I plan on adding other elements/links, etc. to the site but as it stands, I believe it’s ready to present as a work-in-progress sabbatical project.
I will be in Italy soon…have I mentioned that already…going to relax! If I get an opportunity, I may interview more people but going to take it as it comes…not going to plan anything. Going to spend time with my family and relax!I can’t believe I will be in Italy soon and that I will be returning to school/classroom. I won’t be thinking of that right now however. I am so looking forward to seeing my family again, relaxing, and just Being for awhile before returning to work in August. I feel so very fortunate to have had this opportunity to work on a project close to my heart and to have been given this time to reflect. I look forward to seeing my students and meeting the new ones of course. Trying to get all things in order in new home before I leave. It’s been quite the adventure and I am thankful to have the time to be dealing with the issues in the new home. It would have made for a very difficult and even more stressful time if I were navigating through these small trials and tribulations while at work. I did however not plan for dealing with these things while on sabbatical but as the saying goes: Life happens as you are making other plans. Speaking of plans, still working on some more lesson- plans for the videos on the site… |
